Grooving Tools
These tools were used to make grooves in wooden tools such as boomerangs and spears, used by the Aborigines for hunting. They were made from wallaby jaws. One has a wax coating to make it comfortable to hold in the hand. This tool is sharp on both ends. This tool made designs on boomerangs and spears. The tool smelled of dead wallaby.
